I would ask if those artists are hurting their careers? They're trying to walk-back the politics, but they can't avoid it.

The point of the show is political. It's based on an assumption that Bad Bunny isn't American.
 
So they bought the ticket, knowing what they were signing up for and now they don’t want to take the ride. They should have thought about that before signing up to perform. How much are they getting paid?

I am not really impressed by this lineup. Only Kidrock I heard of. By the way his last album came out in 2022, It was his 12th studio album. He is all country now and apparently has a MAGA following now. As I heard a crowd chanting at one of his concerts on youtube. I hear some songs from him played at Texas Roadhouse.
 
Plus, the channels carying this alternative show is not impressive iether. I hear channels like TBN, Americas Voice, One America News and Charge will be airing it. I am surprised Newsmax or Newsmax 2 is not airing it too. Just curious where is it going to be held?

I was wondering about that myself. I couldn't find an answer. However the main partner appears to be TBN, the Trinity Broadcasting Network. They're based in Nashville, on the former property of Twitty City theme park. I suspect they will do the concert on that property with an invited audience of people in the area.

Which is interesting because TPUSA did manage to pull of a very large event at a major venue in a very short period of time (Charlie Kirk's...."celebration of life?" at the stadium in Glendale, AZ) that was by all measures a success. If the venue for this is still not widely known the day before the event? Hmm...

Oh my! Assuming this will be the stage of choice, one wonders if we'll get to hear Kid Rock stop his set and sing praises about finding the Deity? (No, I think Big Bunny, no matter in what language he sings, will be better than this.)

No, it won't be hurting the genre. Keep in mind that, despite the liberal politics (thank goodness) of some of country's biggest superstars, both past and present, that the recording industry has been marketing the genre to the right for a very long time.

I find it odd they waited two weeks before to announce who would be airing it and a week before to say who is performing. Maybe they just found people who agreed to perform at the show about a week before.

Gilbert, Barrett and Brice are third-tier country performers who've had their share of hits, but none currently, and generally have little name recognition or ability to draw big crowds on the concert circuit unless they're part of a festival package or opening for a bigger act. Stylistically, they're different. Gilbert is a "bro-country" party-hardy type celebrating redneck life in a basic, country-rock style. Barrett has a pleasant but generic country voice and uses it on pleasant but generic country songs, some more traditional-leaning than others, but none with much that sticks in your mind even after repeated exposure. Brice is a bluesy singer who can sell a well-written song and a cliche-ridden song with equal gusto. He's also a really good guitar player. His duet with Carly Pearce, "I Hope You're Happy Now," was outstanding and won the ACM's Single of the Year award a few years ago. "Rumor" is another one by him I enjoy. But he never seems to follow up a strong song with another strong song, and radio tends to ignore him just when you think he's about to get on a roll.

Probably too many electrons wasted here on a show I won't be watching even though I like country music, but I figured I'd share a few observations on entertainers that some might think are bright stars in the country music galaxy, given the hype that Turning Point is giving them and the show they'll be putting on.

As far as the Superb Owl Halftime show, I'm getting flashbacks to Ricky Martin's performance of "Cup of Life" at the 1999 Grammy's. Those of us who knew were not surprised, but the reaction from everyone else was "wait...where the hell did this guy come from? That was awesome!"

I tuned into Charge tv at 8 pm est until about 8:20 and they were showing Law and Order Criminal Intent like before. Sounds like I did not miss much though.
 
Other than Kid Rock & Gabby was on American Idol a few years ago seen a few music videos on NickMusic a couple of years ago I didn't know who the others were for TPUSA concert. I watched Bad Bunny and great to see Lady GAGA & Ricky Martin who has butt implants LMAO 🤣 🤣🤣.
 
So the Toilet Paper halftime extravaganza managed to pull in less than a quarter of what the then-fledgling Fox network pulled in for the In Living Color halftime counter programming show more than 30 years ago.

Way to go.
