I hate to say this but WLW is as bad as the Reds are now, when it comes to what passes for talk programming. Like the Reds WLW has become a small market talk station. Especially what passes for on air hosts that are on Extra innings.
On top of that I always hear people say evening ad rates for radio are atrocious.
This would explain, of course, why WLW has had double digit shares for decades, and leads the #2 station in revenue by about 60%.

Glad to say at least that Chick Ludwig reappeared, after an absence, on Extra Innings last night. It was mentioned by caller how non-baseball types had been hosting (without callers). At show end Chick did say he would cover ESPN 1530 today from 3-6, and then WLW Extra Innings Sat. nite. So that is good for the Pete Rose Cincy HOF weekend coverage. Hopefully an indicator of things to come.
Sad isn't it. WLW better watch it. WGRR just took the number 1 spot from WLW since 2013. Lazy programming in my opinion is one of the reasons that happened.

microbob - yeah, I picked up WSCR 670 after Cubs win last night, in time for Maddon's comments. (Great game for Cubs, Chapman worth the investment.) For some reason I never noticed that station before.
