Bauerle going to WECK?

Wrong! It was not an outright LIE- It was the total truth, but it was misleading.

FWIW, in my mind, a "lie" is a deliberate representation of something that is intended or known to be highly likely to cause the recipient to believe something that is not accurate or valid. Think of most any degree of consumer marketing/sales... and a healthy portion commercial/B2B marketing/sales.

To me, the Bauerle thing was a lie.

And, as far as dB being a legend... I suppose it depends on what constitutes legendary status (in radio sales, in this case). Longevity? Unique accomplishment? Innovation? Integrity? This, no doubt, is a topic for another thread though.

Dick Bauerle is a radio legend.

Possibly, within the circles of the business. Sure, maybe. But, not to the general public. A (public) Facebook post is intended and can only be intended for the general public (which includes, as a subset, radio insiders).

WECK took a shot at furthering public discussion about themselves. Good for them. Like I stated, hype runs the risk of transitioning to BS.

Buddy's 60th year in the business. How'd this one get by? David, I believe the esteemed and aforementioned Mr. Shula is somewhere near 50 or 51. But then it could be a typo, that's happened before.
