It seems public stations, at least in my area, have moved away from "education." They used to run TV courses during the overnight period in which one could enroll and for which one could receive academic credit. No more.
By education, I meant teaching students about broadcasting. Apparently there has been some kind of relationship between Baylor's journalism department and the station. I don't know if that will continue with the funding cut. A lot of college stations do student-hosted coverage of the school's athletics program. I don't see that at KWBU, and some of that may be due to university contracts with Learfield and other providers.
