"Strange Underwear."
The Men In Secret Underwear (in case anyone reading this thread don't get the acronym).
He is an electrician who opines on politics. No education, no journalistic experience, just a good old boy ranting to fellow morons.Oh, I don't disagree with your assertions LC. However, Lunkhead is working feverishly trying to convince KTAR listeners that he's a "moderate" and the "voice of reason" on-air. That's just plain laughable.![]()
All fair points Deus.I disagree with one...the idea that Lunkhead (and I love that nickname) is an uneducated angry white guy. He knows exactly what he's doing. So does Chad Benson. So do The Men In Secret Underwear (in case anyone reading this thread don't get the acronym). And to circle back around to the subject of this discussion, so does Dave Ramsey.
This stuff works. Since the portable purple people eater meters have come into play, it doesn't matter if we all know that Dave and Mike and Chad are selling listeners a bill of goods. The data from the pagers says that what they're selling moves the digital needles. For the next four years (at least), it will behoove talk radio to express outrage at what's happening with the current administration, tell people they're supposed to be equally outraged, and sell them on a way to find "Financial Peace" along the way.
And of course they're going to frame it as "we're just the reasonable people trying to make sense of this all!" Meanwhile, if you land a job with Ramsey, don't cheat on your spouse (unless you have a book deal).
Fox News guest Dave Ramsey: "I don't believe in a stimulus check because if $600 or $1400 changes your life you were pretty much screwed already. You got other issues going on."
He is really out of touch with how many Americans, including many who watch Fox, live paycheck to paycheck.
I heard Ramsey say that on his radio show. Talk radio here, like in most places, is weak in terms of topic and listener interest.I noticed Ramsey is a trending topic tonight, wondered what he may have said. Turns out he believes the Covid stimulus checks being discussed for some Americans are useless:

Do an internet search for "Dave Ramsey Endorsed Local Providers" and read some of their stories. The Endorsed Local Providers (ELPs) are basically tax, real estate and insurance companies in your area that are supposedly endorsed by Dave to provide a "higher standard of excellent". From what I've read, these ELPs pay Dave a fee to send them 'leads' (one website stated that ELPs are charged about $60 per person that he refers to them, and they estimate that Ramsey makes $400k-$900k per month in fees from ELPs). That said, it's really not a great deal for at least some of them according to their stories. Some ELPs have complained that the fees they pay for these "leads" has caused them to raise prices for their customers to offset them. In more rural areas, some of the "leads" they're paying Dave for can be located an hour or more away, and those people may not have or take the opportunity to visit their office. Some ELPs find that listeners of Dave's show expect a good amount of hand holding, many are in sad financial shape and their cases aren't simple ones. In at least some situations, ELPs have paid Ramsey for the leads he sends them, and those people may only use their services once and they may not hear from them again, meaning they may not be able to bill enough services or time to make up for the cost of the lead. While it's been fun to hear some of the callers, it doesn't take a microscope to see that Dave is HEAVILY pushing his products (like Financial Peace University.)
Why aren't all psychics multi-millionaires? Obviously they could cash in on every lottery, let along betting.I worked at one station where a "psychic" came in to do a show on the weekends. Apparently she left some printed material at the station and it went missing. She left a note in the staff break room, asking for help in locating the missing books.
And of course, somebody wrote on the note, "If you were really a psychic, you would have found them already!"
Silly rabbit, stimulus checks are for corporations!I noticed Ramsey is a trending topic tonight, wondered what he may have said. Turns out he believes the Covid stimulus checks being discussed for some Americans are useless:

Ramsey likely has to $ell now after Newsweek reported today that Ramsey Cult Solutions is being sued for firing an unmarried pregnant woman. Meantime, fellow brown-noser Chris Hogan was quietly fired about two weeks ago because he was "outed" for extra-marital affairs.![]()
Dave Ramsey, Christian finance guru, selling Tennessee home for $16M
The only thing more impressive than buying and building a $16 million house in all cash is doing it twice.nypost.com
Ramsey likely has to $ell now after Newsweek reported today that Ramsey Cult Solutions is being sued for firing an unmarried pregnant woman.
Ramsey's response went on to suggest that, because Tennessee is an "at-will" state, employers are legally allowed to fire employees for any reason, or without cause.
"They freaking work for me," his response continues. "This is an employment-at-will state, which means if I decide I don't like people with green eyes, I don't have to hire you. I don't have to keep you anymore."
Not if she can prove there was a different standard for men (Hogan) than women when it comes to so-called "morals". It's blatant discrimination. There's apparently a clause in their employment contract that forbids pre-marital sex:
Always read those employee forms they require you to sign. If she signed it and got pregnant, the suit will get dismissed.

I once heard Ramsay say something like "it's easier to live off of 90% of your income than it is to live off of 100%" (referring to tithing, I think).I noticed Ramsey is a trending topic tonight, wondered what he may have said. Turns out he believes the Covid stimulus checks being discussed for some Americans are useless:

Can a non-Christian work for Ramsey Solutions? From reading this thread and the articles attached, it seems that not being Christian violates Ramsey's morality code. How is that legal?
