Bengals on radio

glieb said:
Radio play-by-play for both Bengals and Reds has become almost unlistenable due to the rampant sponsorship of everything they say. "I'm going to cough now--this cough brought to you by Vicks...then I'll inhale and we'll have another sponsor for that...." At least TV has not gotten that bad yet, so I'll forego listening at all if it's not on TV... Not a reflection on the announcers, but the salespeople drive me away...

So true. Its ridiculous now with the Bengals games..and approaching that with the Reds (seemingly only when Marty is announcing).

I honestly cannot think of any reason to care about the Bengals anymore.

It's becoming a pain to have them in town...and to hear the various announcers and talkers trying to keep hope alive. Willie is an exception, he can at least call it like it is.

You people in Cincinnati wouldn't know a winning pro sports team if it came up and bit you in the ::) People are still hung up on the Big Red Machine and the only season the Bengals were good..when was that, the WAR of 1812?

There are people who say Louisville isn't a sports city because we have no pro-teams. Sounds like we aren't missing much. IMHO sports aren't any good if the players don't care about the product. At least the college players still have the heart to go out and win.
