Bert Show on verge of going into syndication?

According to AllAccess.com, the Bert Show starts Monday on new Cumulus CHR i106 in Nashville.

How will this affect Q100?

Um, it won't...

Actually, if you think about it, it will. How many times is Bert going to refer to "Q100" on the live show, now that it will be airing in Nashville and other markets?

Syndication has become pretty sophisticated. They'll be able to drop in Bert saying "Q100," and the Atlanta audience will not be able to tell it's not being said live.

Of course, if a listener with overly sensitive hearing hears the same drop of Bert pronouncing "Q100" hundreds of times... then they might start to wonder...

I wonder it, when it's time to do the local station ID drops during the show, if "TBS" is going to use the same or similar technology that "Moby in the Morning" does when they dop the local stations' ID: at some point during the show, Moby will press a button that will bring the audio slightly down, then play a pre-recorded drop of Moby saying the local station's name and/or local jock who comes on later in the day. I've heard the show via online streams of South 107, as well as an affiliate in Monroe, LA, and it's an interesting concept when you hear it across several stations.

They could do it similar to clear channel's syndicated "Dave and Jimmy" from WNCI.. Affiliate stations play music during times when local content is being discussed on the flagship.
