My List: These are Country stations and it's jingles.

KTTS: Thompson Creative Wolf Pack, K102 K, Kick Country.
WSSL: ReelWorld WCTO 2006
WCTO: New RW One Custom
99.7 The Mounten: RW WCTO 2006

I have more but I'll let the rest of you menchend every station you can fink of.

Texas-style's got KASE/KVET, Austin. Pop's got WKHX, Atlanta. A couple of Wolves, some Bulls and even a few Sheep are pretty dang nice.

Ever take a listen to the Jack-approach of a good ol' Hank? Done right, it's really not a bad sound.

WMIL.. Milwaukee. 25 years nad always has high numbers, and a strong community presence.
They were country when country wasn't cool.

Personally I love country stations that have a local presence and feel and a great long playlist to choose songs from (basically playing more than the few hits)

I'm biased as I live in Louisiana and have only heard stations here but my favorites currently are:
KSBH 94.9 "94.9 the river" Coushatta/Natchitoches
KQKI 95.3 "Quickie country" Bayou Vista
WUUU 98.9 Franklinton (has no announcers but playlist is bigger than most country stations)

Have to go with WSM in Nashville and The Ranch in East Texas:

About 5 years ago I was driving in Kansas and picked up a decent country station around 1070 (I think). Can't remember the call letters now, but it seemed like we could hear it for well over a hundred miles.

That's it... Wichita. Started hearing it in the middle of Missouri. If I remember correctly, I liked how they told some stories behind the songs and artists.

Kind of like picking a favorite relative, isn't it? There are so many great stations.
Guess my "favorite" is any local station that is "live" 24/7, and interacts with its listeners.

Least favorite? Anything automated, voice tracked or unattended jukeboxes.

I was in Kentucky several years ago and heard a very young DJ taking a request from an even younger listener... and then PLAYED the song! (Wow- what a concept). Was it a stellar performance? Nope. But I'd rather hear that, instead of ten-in-a-row, over-researched, fan tested and approved, overplayed country "favorites".

1. KFXR 1190 From Dallas Before it switched to CNN
2. 92.1 KXEZ Farmersville, TX
3. 93.1 KMKT? Sherman, TX
These are the best ive heard :)
I really miss KFXR though.....

Classic Country Radio WBZI, WEDI, WKFI, a three station mini network, from Xenia Ohio and online at: http://www.myclassiccountry.com/.

Chubby Howard is a living encyclopedia and the rest of the station is good too, but maybe not quite as interesting to people who aren't expatriates of the Miami Valley.

WPTL in the Asheville, NC, area is "Real Country" but the DJ (national, of course) was asked by a listener to play "White Lightning" by George Jones and she did it!

At least that means a satellite format is responsive.

White Lightning is on the regular playlist on Real Country.

I like KVET/Austin. It's dfferent and distinctive. It's one of the few stations that really has a regional flavor. I like the mix of old, new, Texas country, and Americana.

I'm a fan of WCYO, 100.7, the Coyote in Richmond, KY...great mix of new country with classics like Jones, Loretta, Merle, etc. A couple of good jocks too, Mike James in the afternoons and Al Snyder who does a classic request show on Friday nights with great interviews.

I like "Real Country" even if its satelitte. We lost our affiliate to sports so now i have to listen to cookie cutter country on FM. But at night I still think WSM AM in Nashville is still cool.
