Betting time

Let's all take bets on when stations will go all holiday music this season. We still have a few weeks to go.
Here are my bets

(mobile/fwb market)
99.9 will go around the 15'th of nov
94.1 will go in December
Sunny 98.5 will probably more then likely around Dec
95.1 PCB UNKNOWN since that's weak RX out here.
100.1 PCB maybe by middle of NOV (yes, i can hear it with QRM from KROCK)
107.3 will be partial
98.7 will be yule around December
ohh.. 98.1 will stunt this season in favour for a new format /me hides!

I doubt any of my presets will play christmas music... heck, I've gotten too old to figure out how to set the presets. What happened to pulling the button out and pushing it back in just to get to a place where you could fine-tune the station?


Has Cat Country 98.7 done any christmas music since the year they signed on?

Doesn't your local Coast 93.3 do the holiday thing every year?

How will this effect Q-100? (nod to the ATL)


My money for the first Christmas station this year goes to that back-up transmitter the competition used to block WPAP on Panama City Beach during hurricane Dennis. That little station's going to be big one day! Number 1!, if it doesn't go #2 first.

COAST doesn't go all christmas until eve based on history.
CAT goes christmas as i said (based on history) every dec.

now i don't know about CAT 103.5

PAP can be heard up here. strong signal too. even during non tropo moments.

when i can get some real equipment for monitoring the band (and listening to TK) i'll be able to pull the signal in better hopefully without the PC's help of interference!

Huh?

What happened to the good old days when WPCS was the only station playing Christmas music before December 23rd? I don't think they even bother with Christmas music on WPCS anymore.
 
since their format is country, i can imagine them being the first in the PCB market.
but as stated before, the equipment i use for monitoring the band is crap.
which is why i've asked for others to input their own bets.

Who? What? How? Since when do county station flip to christmas music? Where have I been? I thought it was AC, Religious, and failing stations that flipped to christmas music. Will 93 BLX be playing kwanzaa music?

Why was Lowe's selling christmas trees two weeks ago? I haven't eaten Thanksgiving dinner yet.

They won't even play the Bill Cosby "Can I Be Your Santa Claus, Mama?" tune anymore, what makes you think they'll locate any Kwanzaa tunes? (Turns out, there are some out there.)

BTW, did you know that BLX is the new home of The Steve Harvey Morning Show? Their listeners are not allowed to forget, apparently.

Apologies. I did my best to avoid making fun of kwanzaa. I'm capable of making extremely racist comments about it. I could do the same with christmas. But the question about radio stations playing kwanzaa music was serious.

Getting back to the topic "Betting time," is anyone placing money on how long it'll take me to get banned from Radio-Info?

Oh, cool! The first time I read it I thought "you" was "me", when I re-read it later I remembered Latin 101, "You in English can be one person or the whole group. The comment being directed at the whole group suddenly made more sense. Thanks for taking the time to clarify that.

I want "Redneck Christmas Radio" too, who do we have to bribe to get it?

And we don't want to talk about WPFM, we want to talk about "The Great One Oh Eight," right?
 
OK it wasnt on the radio in Jax but it's started already. Went to a lunch at a local BBQ joint and badda bing Christmas music already from one of those restaurant music services I presume. Not even halloween yet. Guess getting everyone ready for trick or treat as Santa or his helper. Peace on earth & goodwill to men... BOOOOOOO!!!!
