Beyonce Country Project

What always got to me (besides the criticism of Beyonce for doing exactly what Kid Rock did a few decades ago to *crickets*) is the realization that these critics are now going to use any new R&B/Pop/Rock tinged material she does later as weapons against her ("See? SEE? What'dItellya! She's not Country! She's faking" while completely oblivious to Kid Rock's 1998 Rage Against The Machine sound-alike record......)

She comes from Houston. A music hotbed where Country music is inescapable (like Seattle and Rock.) People need to get that everyone is a part of where they grew up locally in music. You grew up around regional sounds. She did too. And sooner or later in every artist, it finds its way home Whether the artist is aware of it or not.
