BIG 4 NETWORK STATIONS WITH SUB-CHANNELS OTHER THAN WEATHER/RADAR

I believe it's something like news and public affairs, how to do stuff 24/7. To me that is quite
boring, we've got enough news and junk on already. I'm sure when Weather radar and Universal
Sports first came on..............they thought that was the greatest invention and would last forever.
ad637299 WANN has a bunch of subs, but most are junk (MTV'3s, LATV (spanish), This-TV and
another movie channel, Tuff-TV, oldie goldie (b&w), corner store (infos), jewelry (sales), a tv guide
channel). I've watched Daniel Boone on Tuff-TV, it's other shows are fishin', huntin', etc. Their oldie goldie channel shows b&w Beverly Hillbillies, The Lucy Show, Bonanza but they show the same 10 shows over and over. They have about 6 radio stations, but who wants to watch radio?
They have a sister station LP WTBS, which repeats most of those channels. TBS has a country
music channel and France news channel (in English) also.......I don't think they have radio. IT'S GREAT THAT THEY BOTH HAVE 10 SUBS EACH, JUST WISH THEY'D PUT SOMETHING BETTER ON 'EM.

Nonstop are local programming services owned by the NBC station group, and each of their stations (except currently on their Connecticut station, WVIT) operate on their own programming on the channel, plus they'll air other shows from fellow NBC-owned station. Pretty much on what gregg75 said, the content there is mostly news, public affairs, lifestyle and interview shows, plus repeats of selected programs already seen on the main NBC subchannel. We here in California just a got a Nonstop channel that launched earlier this week, and is available on the NBC O&Os in Los Angeles, the Bay Area, and San Diego. One caveat here is that each of those stations inserts their own local live newscast (7pm local time), as opposed to have a "statewide" newscast.
I've had a chance to sample some of the programming on the California Nonstop channel, and some of it is OK...couple of intriguing ones are "Talk Stoop", which originates from WNBC, is an interview shows in which the host talks to prominent New Yorkers (mostly actors/actresses, musicians) from in front of a Brooklyn brownstone apartment building. Another one, which is produced locally, "California Nonstop Foodies" profiles different cuisines, restaurants, and chefs in different locales statewide. The channel has some potential, but it could do without the numerous repeats of the lifestyle shows, and can add more actual news content.
