Big announcement on Easy 99.1 coming Monday

That's too bad...I was really hoping they were switching to a CHR format. God knows we don't have enough of them. ;)

If you're within range of 96.1 WSRS/Worcester, which Delilah is also on, you could switch back and forth and see if there are playlist changes.

The only problem with that is Delilah runs two different feeds, one “hotter” than the other.
I believe 99.1 carries the hotter one than 95.7/96.1——I think the feed that switches to all Christmas after Thanksgiving.

The Delilah feed that WPLM runs is different from the one on WSRS and WZID (those both have the same feed), but Easy 93.1 in Miami doesn't play the same music as WPLM.

For the record, WLTW NYC also runs Delilah's breaks, weeknights 8pm-1am, but it has its own song selection. Delilah also customizes some breaks for Lite-FM, talking about chatting with someone in Brooklyn or White Plains. In smaller markets, I guess a station gets some Delilah liners for their market but not much more.

Speaking of WFEZ Miami, WPLM used to be Boston-Providence's version of WFEZ, a softer-than-Soft AC. I remember when they were a Smooth Jazz station for a while. But these days they're really not much different than WMJX or WWLI.

Which makes me wonder why they shouldn't be something else..
In the PPM era and with the narrow demographic focus of advertisers, there are a very limited number of formats that will work. Duplication beats oblivion.
