Big APE Morning Zoo

Thanks guys! Morning Zoo rocks...make sure you post where you all end up.

;D God, Things were never this complicated back in the late 60's and 70's

Hey Radio Nuts-(Butters!!!)
How is the Island life????...Be glad youre out of the crazy radio world!!!

Keep in touch!!

Regardless of why they are going.. Ami, Steve and Eden worked well together. They knew the "drill" and did a lot of good things for the city. Oh.. I know it's all about the numbers and all about getting the dollars. But, the more I see people go.. the more I realize that the human side of radio is not long for this world. Sad.

;D Radio Widow.. Can I come Back..I'm sorry..Stan Understands!!!

Radio Widow, this guy is doing a Six Degrees of WAPE. He worked in a small market in another part of North Florida for the former owner of WQIK. This connects him to Jacksonville and the former owner of WAPE, Stan Kaplan. 99% of his posts can be seen in Raleigh Greensboro where he makes even less sense!

Goodfellow

So what's going with WAPE mornings??? Is the show right now staying or just interim??? Are they going to go with say an Ace & TJ show???

 Goodfellow, I started not even to respond to you, however after thinking about it I decided to.
Why do you think you have the right to answer or clarify a post to Radio Widow? Do you her? I also don't need you to comment on any posts on another forum. For your information, Ft. Pierce/Vero is not a small market in North Florida, it's in South Florida...DUH! I am 57 years old and have worked in every market in Florida, Most of North Carolina and various and other sundry places. I have owed a Consulting Engineer Business (Yes I am old enough to have a 1st Class Radio-Telephone and SBE) also a recording studio and a construction company. So, with that being said, I believe I can comment on just about anything I want to and I am positive that it will be more accurate than yours... P. S. I worked for the Kaplans in the early 70's. Nuff Said.... BIGGER APE!

Thanks for the geography lesson. Fort whatever sounded like it belonged in the Panhandle. Sounds like you had a fun career in the South East where so many of the greats in radio have hailed. Starting with the Big Kahuna and God Father; Bill Drake, Cousin Brucie, Jerry Cagle, Rick Dees and now Ryan Seacrest just to name a few. Happy New Year Big Ape.

;D I miss those old days and I wish some of the younger people could have experienced radio back then, when indeed it was fun to go to work and you looked forward to it. It was exciting and real and something different every day. Sorry to see those days go, but I guess we must move on.

Happy New Year to You and Good Luck,

The Big Ape!
