It hasn't died, but I'm glad ageism was brought into this thread.
We're weeding out senior citizens in this country and treating them like (BLEEP)!
A 55 year old with 30-years of experience is now "not swaggerish" enough to deserve to keep a job in a major corporation.
They don't deserve or need any radio stations because they don't buy anything. Uh-huh, sure.
And forget about solving the social security issue. There's not a democrat or republican who's got the mind or the balls to come up with a formidable solution to this dilemna.
They will find a way to get revenge on us younger folk and as much as we will hate it, we all deserve it, royally.
There's no need to explain to me how advertisers operate. Believe me--I know all about it.
I just think this has been part of a growing trend.
Sure radio has always kept a confined target audience, but now the consultants and the advertisers are like the Gestapo. Not 25-54. Go suck on Epson Salt.
