Related to this thread and controversial talk show hosts; three factors that will save terrestrial radio: CONTENT, CONTENT AND MORE CONTENT. Unfortunately, CC, CBS, Cox and the other corp owners have killed that. Content is what will bring in the listeners and AM Talk radio has the right idea at the moment. Hannity, Rush, Savage, Jim Rome, etc... You may hate 'em, but look at their audience sizes. That's what advertisers crave and somewhere along way the Corp suits with no real broadcasting experience who bought all the top 100 market stations thought, in theory, that was a bad idea. Homogenous formats and voice tracking over multiple markets has given rise to satellite, podcasting and coming soon in a big way, Internet Radio. Dave E, you're on the right track.
