Big Dog, you can't have it both ways buddy.

I found this week's Steve Deumig shows laughable as he spends the last two years taking cheap shots on "liberals:" worrying that Myron Rolle would be "brainwashed with socialist claptrap" after becoming a Rhodes Scholar, calling Red Sox and Yankees fans "liberal cockroaches" who only come out of the gutters when their team is winning, and making occasional grouses under his breath about Obama. (His past homophobia is public record.)

But then comes this week and Carl Crawford leaving for Boston for $146 million dollars, and all of a sudden the Big Dog is in favor of a salary cap and worrying about four teams outspending the rest of MLB.

Big Dog, I hate to tell you this but this is what free market capitalism is. As a conservative, you should be happy that the Red Sox and Yankees are able to harness the power of an economic system you have supported all your life and reach the top of their business.

But if you want a salary cap, *gasp* that would make you a liberal because you would support price controls.

Call in and tell him this. Pretty ridiculous you'd post a shot like that at him here, when his phone lines are open for comments like this.

You must not know how talk radio works. He wouldn't even get a chance to make that point "on air". Phone lines open my arse...

And to anyone who is able to get through this week, make sure to wish the DUI Dog a "Happy Holidays" and then cut him off if he tries to tell you "Merry Christmas."

Son, his, and for that matter anyone elses political or socio economic views aside, the NFL and even the NHL have come around to a salary cap. which, when adhered to with a good collective bargaining agreement, make their leagues healthier and stronger.

If you ever want to really know why there are acres of empty seats at the Trop on a regular basis, its that the thousands of true baseball fans in this market aren't going to hitch their hopes on a sport which litterally allows the control of its future to be determined by a handful of clubs.

His comments were merely good timing ...to get free pub..which hes getting here...but the point remains, as long as MLB fails to have a true revenue sharing procedure, every small market teams hopes will be one and done.

Big Dog is still working there? WOW haven't listen to his show in years. Each time its Ohio Stinks... Ohio that.. or any team in any sport up north. It's like this guy don't know that alot of Midwest and NY people listen and are turned off by his personal hatred. He dont have to praise teams up north, but know your area and who listens to you. Also I remembered back the year the Rays finally turned things around.. he was the 1st to say, Rays stink, wait till June.

This guy has totally hurt that station and people don't listen cause of him.

Why would you ever hang up on someone trying to wish you a Merry Christmas? Just for spite? Wow.. you are a piece of garbage if you do.

Bill's right. Unless FM 100 is able to get himself on hold in the call queue with a good sports-related question or comment, he/she'd probably be dismissed given the face value of his take.
