Big Hits to return on 104.3

...and unfortunately, but not surprisingly, it isn't even a good sounding sat service. It would be nice if they would get Tom Kent back.

But would they have just named a new PD if it's satellite?  I'm honestly asking for an opinion, not trying to make an assertion...maybe the answer is, "yes."

Stations that use satellite programming always have a "PD." Somebody has to press the buttons once in while. ;D

I notice Kent is back on nights.  It's the only time the station sounds decent (for those select few who can pick it up, anyway).  The sat service they have most of the day really does seem canned sounding, and it's out of synch with Kent's brighter 60s, 70s and 80s music mix.

BTW, I noticed something curious last night which doesn't fit anywhere else, and certainly doesn't deserve a new topic, so I'll mention it here:  I was burning the midnight oil last night, had the Brew on, and was wondering what the heck was going on when I heard some nuggets and semi-nuggets like "Monterey" and "See Me, Feel Me" coming out of the speakers.  "No, this is too interesting to be Columbus radio," I thought.  "Perhaps I've been magically transported to some exotic place like Rochester, Chicago or Cincinnati."  But it passed quickly, and soon we were back to the expected stuff like "Still of the Night" by Whitesnake.

Future Featured Artist pairings of mine, sometime later this year:
The Animals + Adam and the Ants
The Who + Husker Du

Current Featured Artist match-up:
Creedence Clearwater Revival + The Cramps

Columbus radio is interesting -- you just gotta know where to look! And then you'll find out how we're putting places like Rochester, Chicago, and Cincinnati to shame. They're all eating 'CRS dust.
