Heard he is leaving as well. I would like to know which station he's going to and what made him decide to do it. He and the other guys on the BMMS have complained a lot about low pay and a lack of promotion for their show. It's not surprising to me he took a better opportunity in a bigger market.
I think everyone on that show has done a great job and it will be interesting to see where it goes from here. I have been listening almost since the beginning and the show to me is syndication material.
Billy said he's taking the show's board operator, Derek a.k.a. "Bitch Boy" with him to Dallas. So, I assume Biggie and Nard will host the new show. I think that's the only way the show can continue in its current form. The BMMS has some very loyal listeners and I don't think they'd take kindly to a new show or an outsider coming in and calling the shots.
I also heard this morning the "Bitch Boy" and "Nard" characters have been doing the show free of charge, which says a lot about their determination to get a break in radio and a lot about how bad of a business radio can be.
Congratulations to Billy and good luck in Dallas. Your humor, creativity, and focus will be missed. There truly hasn't been a show as creative as the BMMS ever on Tulsa radio. I just hope it can continue....
