Don't know about the 101.5...Fybush quoted a column he did in May ("In central New Hampshire, Shapiro will add WWHQ (101.5 Meredith)/WLKZ (104.9 Wolfeboro) in the Lakes Region.") but no details on what 101.5 will become.

but re: WMXR
from their site http://www.maxx939.com
>> Maxx is dead...but has become KOOL!!!! Become a fan now....
Kool 93.9/96.3 The Twin States Home for "Greg and the Morning Buzz" and the Greatest Hits!! 5:30a - 10a: Greg and the Morning Buzz 10a - 3p: Justin Tyler 3p - 7p: Jim Bosh And listen all weekend for the "Lost 45's with Barry Scott"..."Elvis Only"...AND MORE!!!

An earlier post (11/12) on their Facebook asked "Are you feeling KOOL?" and 14 hrs ago it said
they would go to the Kool format today at 10

So apparently 104.3 is going away, being combined with 93 9. If the new Kool 93.9/96.3 leans to the pop side of classic hits, the morning buzz will be out of place ..

It most certaintly will be out of place on a Classic Hits station but they had no where else to put the show or risk losing the rights to it.

It would make more sense to move Imus to Kool, and the Buzz to Q106. Imus is, or has been heard on oldies/classic hits stations in the past.

Easy bet would be feeding 101.5 WTPL/The Pulse 107.7 out of Concord. gives them a little more exposure in the Lakes region.

I think that sounds like a good bet, I looked up WTPL's coverage on Radio Locator, and it doesn't have alot of coverage in the Lakes region.

The sale is supposed to close this Friday the 30th. From the rumors I've heard the Pulse will be put on WWHQ initially as a place holder but they have other plans for the station in the future. But again this is "he said she said" conversation so there is probably more going on than what we know.
