The new programming will still feature Ray Lucia and Dan Frishberg at their normal times, but quite a bit of the Biz Radio programming is being replaced by Bloomberg News. After an interview of Dan Frishberg this morning on KTEK, it was announced that Biz Radio's partnership with Salem will expand into other Salem markets. The initial plan is to expand the partnership within the State of Texas and then to move into markets across State lines.
Given that Dallas/Fort Worth is the biggest market in the State, one would assume the Metroplex would be next in line for this new partnership. Where would you expect to see this format debut in Dallas?
1360 KMNY is the only logical, suitable, underutilized signal. However, if nighttime operation is critical, i would guess that they would want a nite signal that serves Dallas best rather than Hurst/Irving. KVCE is unsuitable in my opinion, the severe signal nulls make it distort severely in most of the areas of Fort Worth that I visit. Ray Lucia is on KVCE, I wonder if it would stay there if another station was broadcasting it (or would the other station lose Ray)?
