From the P-I article:
"As an example, the suit notes that the Robin & Maynard and B.J. Shea shows share a studio. Shea's staff, the suit says, posted signs on the wall including one reading "All Women are Filthy Lying Whores." When Erickson asked station managers to remove the offensive signs, managers removed almost all materials, an action "intended to cause hostility by other employees" toward her, it says..."
If I worked around a bunch of women who posted a sign that said "All Men are Worthless Stupid Rapists", I'd be asking management to get rid of that sign too. Because it's not true and totally uncalled for. Neither are "All Women are Filthy Lying Whores." That's just someone's gross opinion, not fact. If my daughters had to work around signs like that, I'd personally come down and rip them off the walls myself.
Robin often sounded crabby in the last three years, My friend's wife, who was a loyal Robin & Maynard fan who is pretty much the same age as Robin said she was probably going through menopause and hence, the mood roller coaster and easy irritability. But I see no reason to aggravate a bad enough problem with juvenile teasing.
But if Robin had spent any time seriously listening to The Buzz prior to signing on (BJ Shea and Leykis were already in place on 100.7) she would have known that she was heading from KZOK straight to the radio equivilant of a high school boys locker room and it just might not be her cup of tea, no matter how much money was offered.
I think with all the crap this year, she should take a break and get her batteries charged again. Maybe have another go for the Robin & Maynard show in a year or two (I'm sure KISM would love some big name sparkle to their line-up...)
