gabigley1 said:Some of us thought the Bob and Tom show would migrate over to sister station WTDA, 103.9. WTDA, WTDA seems to be a better fit for the Bob and
Tom show. They(NABCO) may not be able to move them over to there because of contractual agreements with Dial Global. Dose any one know for sure?
This is the Dial Global Classic Rock format: http://www.dial-global.com/DGTotal/overview.php?format=4
They're trying to please everyone here...a little music, a little talk. There's people that want all music in the morning, and people that want no music in the morning...so the approach that The Blitz is using is a good one, right down the middle. Six tunes an hour isn't too much to sit through. Also, no one ever said Blazor and Mo would be a morning talk show.Browns17 said:I was excited to see the Mo and Blazor were back on today. I was also happy to see Shark and Kelly were on the show too. I turned on the show, and in the first 14 minuted there were 3 songs. I guess a morning talk show is all music. I really wanted to give this a chance, but after the third song I just turned it off.
The Blitz is just back to their old ways. This is why I quit listenting to them.

That's the million dollar question...gabigley1 said:Will NABCO be allowed to put Bob & Tom on Classic Hits 103.9 if they so desire?
Allfirdup said:Not only that but it was the first day, give them time to work it out again, its not like you can just flip on the mike and talk for 4 hours, you gotta have something to say that makes people want to listen and join in.alans613 said:They're trying to please everyone here...a little music, a little talk. gabigley1 said:There is too much music on the new Blitz Morning show, at least for my taste. I don't want to hear more then about five minutes of music per hour. They seem to have about twenty minutes per hour. Do they want to do talk in the mornings or music? Sure which NABCO would make up their mind. The old Blitz Grego morning show only have a few minutes of music per hour. Even Grego's first few shows had just a few minutes of music per hour so its not like they were unprepared to do a talk show. Is the new Blitz morning show just warming up and less music is to come in the near future? Mo, do you still post here?

This ratio is all about personal preference, but I am actually listening now. I like the music mixed in. They don't get stuck on a long boring topic that way. Leave it like this and I'll keep tuning in. There are already enough morning talk radio shows in Columbus, this is a little different and will attract another crowd.
edit: I'd also like to add that with the music breaking up the topics a bit, it's easier to tune in for my 30 minute morning commute and hear a discussion that hasn't been going for hours. The chemistry of the staff with Shark and Quinn added in, along with traffic and news fits the bill IMHO.
