Doubtful: WXKS-1200. I think if they're going to move away from their automated 24/7 standup comedy format, it would be to 24/7 Fox Sports Radio, which WXKS owner Clear Channel has a stake in.
More likely: Either WBNW-1120 (which already airs some Bloomberg programming) will air more of it, or Bloomberg is going to buy a station in the Boston area.
My candidates for a possible Bloomberg Radio purchase here: WUFC-1510 (yes, the perennially embattled 1510!), WRCA-1330, or most likely, the combo of WAMG-890/WLLH-1400.
Uh.... what??? A.) That will never happen. B.) That is one of the more foolish things I have seen posted on this board. C.) It's a good thing you don't work for Entercom.
Forget about it! 550 in Pawtucket is a Catholic station now.Eli Polonsky said:DG02816 said:550 was indeed Bloomberg as WPNW; the Governor of RI at the time, Lincoln Almond, hosted a talk show there.
550 in Pawtucket can only be heard in the Boston area in the daytime. Their night pattern cuts out to the north.

Are stations allowed to sell time on HD2s?
wickedwritah said:Re: nighttime signal (if it's really that important), wonder if Bloomberg would quietly offer WGBH a deal on its Beacon Hill translator, so at least you'd hear biz news in the Financial District 24-7. Maybe the janitors would love the option.

They are, but it's not terribly common for obvious reasons. It's happened in NYC and I know of a couple of other examples. I could see it being advantageous if a broadcaster owned only a translator, then LMA'd an HD subchannel to effectively run the translator as a stand-alone station.
