Blueberry/CC Sale Closes

it's always been like that.....everybody pulled 5 or 6 hour shifts, even weekdays. You always heard the same voices on the radio, and then when their shift was done on that station, they'd VT another shift on another station
 
I have had someone within the organization tell me that there was such chronic and on going alcohol abuse by employees, including while on the air and during working hours, that I can now understand some of the changes that were made. It is said this is still going on as we speak.

What this really paints a bad picture of is the overall management of this organization and who knew what and did nothing.

I think we all need to give Blueberry a BIG BREAK at this point!! They clearly did their homework.
 
I don’t know any of the parties involved… But leveling charges that could effect a person’s ability to make a living is just so wrong on so many levels. You are passing along secon hand heresay for god sake.

I believe that if your weren’t hiding behind a username you would never make such libelous statements… Sure you have the right to say whatever you want… But Jeeze!!! … Play fair and don’t kick folks when they are down.

Louie, in Adbuyer's defense, he did not level charges at any one person but spoke in generalities. Let's face it, if I as a potential employer were reading these boards, I wouldn't place alot of credence in them, given the fact that speculation is the main source for postings! That being said, what's amazing is that if true, that the market manager for Augusta is now the Director of Sales for all of Maine! One would have thought that if true, as Adbuyer suggested, that steps weren't taken when necessary to make corrections, or offer employees help through Clear Channel's Employee Assistance Program. Clearly, whoever is spreading those rumors is risking libel and slander, which is why most employers will only confirm dates of employment and not offer references. To that person, watch out, because I'm a firm believe of what goes around comes around. Sometimes the circle takes along time, but other times its relatively quick.
With all that being said, I hope those looking for a new job find one quickly, whether it be in radio or some other industry.
 
Hmm...Popman wouldn't happen to be Chris Popper, would it? Don't you work for Cumulus?
