BMP blows up Austin this morning

This situation all just seems like a huge cluster F@%K. (pun intended ;D)
whats gonna happen with SA?

I'm wondering the same thing. What will happen here in SA? My guess is that it won't be the same changes happening in Austin. It's very likely the Spanish formats on 95.7 and 104.1 will be history. 94.1 will hopefully transition itself into a Top 40 format with new leadership. Jack will likely remain untouched unless they move KTFM back to 102.7 where it should have been when BMP first took control of the call letters and the frequency.

Putting KTFM back on 102.7 would be huge. They have already flooded these calls with the same old tired logo and feeble attempt to rekindle the old glory of the calls with no success. (Sorry just keeping it real) If they put KTFM back on 102.7 and stayed VERY far away from old logo, imaging, jocks, or ANYTHING that resembled the former KTFM I would be all for it. But lets be honest that wouldn't happen. If they put it back on 102.7 they would yet again try to recapture the old glory days. Its almost as if the calls are now cursed. I wish people would accept the fact that those days are long gone and will never return. That's my opinion.

As far as for the other stations in BMP San Antonio I think major changes are coming very soon. It would be foolish to think major changes did not include people losing their jobs. So if that in fact happens, good luck to you all.

That would be something, to get KTFM back on 102.7... but only if they could hire a national-level morning team like Sonny or Drex, and a home grown local news person like Liz or Karen. Then they'd also have to find another Yoli and mount her kind of extensive community involvement. Then there's the contests, promos, ads, appearances and some effort to find out what kind of music the youngsters want to hear these days...and a programmer like Bill Thorman or Trigger Black to tie it all together.
Anything short of all of the above steps is doomed, so why bother if you don't have the capital to invest?
Jack or Bob or whatever his name is would be a lot cheaper.

The old BMP f@$k these call letters up however; that doesn't mean that they can't be return to the glory days it once had. KTFM had a huge run of being one of the most successful stations in town.

Nevertheless, I am really hoping they clean house starting with Landis. He's made horrible decision with the English cluster here in SA.
