Bob Oakes

WBUR is doing a nationwide search to replace Bob Oakes as morning local anchor of Morning Edition. Who would be some good people to consider for the job?

Two come to mind immediately: Josh Binswanger and Deb Lawlor, both late of WBZ Newsradio 1030.

Despite sounding absolutely terrible now
Aw, come on, give the gal a break.

I don't know how long she's been out of Emerson, but, was was pointed out elsewhere on this forum, there aren't many small market stations that can feed WBZ with experienced, well-honed talent anymore, as was the case decades ago. She's a professional and will grow even more so. Shari Small got the hang of it, but it took her a while to effectively make the transition from TV to radio.

Sorry, but unfortunately I have the station on a lot, and Madison Rogers, can't get through a paragraph without stumbling.
She shouldn't be on WBZ, and I doubt any of WBZ's smaller market sister stations would put up with her bumbling through each shift
