Bob Pantano Dance Party is over on 98.1 WOGL

But loyal following doesn't last forever. At some point, it no longer becomes valuable (that's notwithstanding wholesale format changes, of course).

I do remember back in my much, much younger days working an early teenage job at an ice cream parlor when the owner would sometimes switch the radio over to what must have been Q at the time post closing/during cleanup, and this show would be on. It might have made me clean faster to get out an on my way.
That makes sense. Perhaps it no longer has a following, but I’m guessing that Bob had a number of fans - and advertisers - for many, many years.

What station(s) did the boss usually have on during business hours?

Actually he was a the co-owner, the son. He was the one sticking around for late nights. Dad the old man usually had one of the adult contemporary stations on. Kiss, EZ, Sunny or Magic.

I think this show would be a great fit for Classix 107.9. Perhaps it could have been on both 107.9 and 98.1. 107.9 from 7-10 pm and 98.1 from 10-2. Don’t play the 60s and 70s after 10 pm, and it would fit the new Big 98.1 format

They're owned by two different companies.
So what? Bob Pantano is independent of the stations. He would simply be buying time on both stations. Jerry Blavat does that for his radio show that airs on 3 stations daily, all with different owners.

If I’m an actual major company, I’m not taking the show period, and certainly not in some bizarre arrangement like that. Blavat’s weird little deals aren’t relevant here.

Is Blavat on any Philly stations? I thought he aired only on South Jersey stations.

great dream, there is a better chance of yiddish folk songs going on wmmr, this is radio one remember...three blown up once great formats, alternative 100.3, 103.9 and mom and pop 107.7 now at 107.9 (I realize they were bought out by some fast money making outfit and sold to R1 for the Philly market but they could of kept that unique format) WVLT would be a much better fit and they probably have a better reach then 107.9.

Was Pantano’s Saturday night show on WOGL-FM (pre-shift to HD-2) leased airtime from CBS and later Entercom/Audacy?
