BOSTON ARBITRON RATINGS: MAY 2011

I suspect that at least some of Gresh and Zo's audience base stems from the fact that they spent a number of years holding down the 9am to noon slot for Citadel's now-defunct Providence sports station "The Score" 790/99.7.

For years....Gresh and Zo were the only viable sports alternative to the last hour of WEEI's D&C, and the first two hours of Dale and Holley for those within listening range of the combined signals of 790/99.7.

On the Boston Sports Media Watch site, they are doing ratings of local personalities. Gresh was rated a couple of days ago and he was pummeled by about a 3 1/2 to 1 ratio against him. Yet his ratings beat Muttnansky right away. I wonder if Wolfe realizes what kind of ratings Dale Arnold would have had during the Bruins run. He is probably the most knowledgeable hockey guy in the Boston market.

By the way, I hope this hockey talk goes away. Some of us didn't mind a bit that nobody talked about it. Two months ago it was barely ever mentioned.
