Boston Radio Ratings May 2021

Despite what you all are saying about WCTK's signal, yesterday's release of the latest ratings for the Providence Market shows the the station is doing very well in the 6+ category.

Back in the late 60s and early 70s, WHIM 94.1 had a great sounding Country station in Providence. Franks sold the station and it became WHJY. I often wonder "what if" they had remained Country? Might be a whole different story ratings wise. I doubt if WCTK would even be a player today. Just MHO.
Ownership would have had to stick with country music for two decades before its appeal spread beyond the die-hards in undesirable demographics. If the sale and format flip had happened in, say 1987, just before the Garth Brooks phenomenon, the new traditionalists, the "hat acts" and all the other stuff that led country music to the broad it has today, then some second guessing would be in order.
