Boston's Progressive Talk.net comes to Medford

but I was being facetious (as well as amusing and humorous). The right wing whackos paint everyone with the same broad brush - Cindy Moore, Michael Sheehan, Al Kerry, John Gore, get the picture? They don't use logic or facts, indeed, they smear a la the Swift Boat Veterans for Bush...and Bush wasn't even a veteran! due to his AWOL status! ha ha

IMO (as the kids say) Egan is a paper feminist and Braude is far too arrogant for the room. Not only does he constantly cut the callers and his co-host off mid-sentence, I love it when he interrupts himself. :D

Liberal talk has every right to exist, by putting out compelling shows that people will want to listen to.
Conservatives don't want to squelch the other side's opinions, but the (un)Fairness Doctrine may...

Actually, now that I think of it, let's do it. But it should be fair. Set up a second taxpayer funded
non-commercial network to rival NPR, but with conservative opinions. On TV, I want 3 more conservative
news channels, and Bill O'Reilly must anchor NBC Nightly News. I want Howie Carr to appear in both
the Herald AND Globe. I want teachers to show conservative-based movies along with the left-leaning ones.
For every liberal opinion on radio-info.com, a rebuttal by a conservative is mandated. Fair is fair.

Very nicely done.

I try to be humorous, too, but from the other side of the spectrum (often). We are fair and balanced
at radio-info.com...or at least the other side gets a say

I heard the book on tape version of Unfit for Command and am more inclined to believe O'Neill and Corsi's side
of the story. btw W trained to fly a plane in the military IIRC, and even if he didn't serve overseas you have
to have at least some intelligence to be able to pilot a plane.

Liberals meanwhile use doctored documents--the 60 Minutes II piece was immediately debunked by those who knew that Windows fonts weren't around in the early 70s. Rather offered a non-apology apology ("the story is true, but for those who may have been offended...I'm sorry"). He was sorry he was caught.

NY Sun: "It was Mr. Johnson (Little Green Footballs) who, copying the forgery from a PDF file CBS posted on its Web site, retyped the memo using Microsoft Word’s standard settings, and found that his version was identical in every detail to the one Dan Rather claimed had been typed on a manual typewriter some three decades earlier. "

Sheehan's lovely mug shot: http://www.thesmokinggun.com/mugshots/cindysheehanmug1.html

Tell me why it is that the anti-Bush people claim all these ridiculous things about the President -- like he was AWOL or the National Guard doesn't really count as service. They hate the military, yet they love to praise someone like Kerry or Murtha who saw active duty. Then they have anything to say about the fact that neither Hillary nor Obama have an ounce of military experience for the job of Commander in Chief.

Most likely, Infidel, you won't be seeing Obama or Hillary spending $500,000.00 plus on an aircraft carrier as the sun sets with a motion picture crew and a banner that says "Mission Accomplished." I had no problem with
Kerry saluting the Democratic National Convention and showing up for duty; my problem with Kerry is he doesn't fight back when these individuals who USE the armed forces like Cheney, Rove & Bush, and who failed to show up for duty, when they attack him without having the credibility to do so.

The National Guard is a great component of our security system. All members of the National Guard are to be commended if they didn't go AWOL, if they did what was required of them, if they fessed up to a drunk driving charge before asking the American Public to vote them in as Commander & Chief. That's not a lot to ask.

Raccoon, Aunty Donna should be in the Medford Transcript next week...I'll post the link if the story is published.

I mean...we could publish now here first, but let's keep the element of surprise in play.

Oh good. By the way there may be something about Morgan White Jr. Feb 1 in the Globe. A reporter
came to the Coolidge Corner Clubhouse to interview him about his trivia shows during his show on
Martin Luther King Day and she interviewed me as well (asking what I liked about the trivia
appearances), so if the article comes out you may see a mention
of 'Bob Nelson from Beverly'...
