BOUNCE TV NETWORK TO AIR ON RAYCOM'S 26 STATIONS

Not if they're planning multiple MH streams, like feeding both WOIO and WUAB in MH.

Oh, I get it, feeding both in MH via WUAB, since VHF stinks for mobile DTV.

Too bad Raycom can't get WOIO on UHF and get it over with.

How about swap them? That's what Raycom did in Honolulu with KGMB and KFVE (even though both broadcasted on UHF, and until 2009, KGMB was on digital VHF).

Great idea, and WOIO is such a poor facility - 9.5 kW on RF 10, with CFPL in London blowing across the lake to interfere with it.

But Raycom hasn't budged. They have applied for a UHF translator in the southern part of the market (RF 24).

And what do ya know...just checked on it, and they now have a CP for 24!

The exact MeTV and Bounce TV affiliates have been announced already. There's no mystery other than whether WOIO or WUAB will have Bounce in Cleveland and which exact subchannel each network will be on.

For example, WALB dropped This, but it is an announced affiliate of Bounce, which I suspect will appear on 10-3.

Trip,
Does this mean that there won't be other Raycom stations getting ME-TV in the future that don't have it already? I'm really not surprised that WMC in Memphis would pick Bounce over ME-TV if it comes down to one or the other, but it appears like ME-TV is doing a gradual phase-in of stations rather than a major start at one time like Bounce is doing. I always figured that WMC was the best chance of getting ME-TV in my area until the Bounce announcement.

KLTV/7 & KTRE/9 may get Bounce but won't get MeTV since London already announced they would air it on KYTX/19 in Tyler. If KLTV 'Bounces' then they will have 3 subs (This, Telemundo, Bounce); KTRE only has 1 (Telemundo, not This, not sure why).
