I think this was a last-ditch effort to save the AC format on 102.5. Maybe they thought the "My" brand might still have some kind of positive identification with the listener.
As for the repetition, I agree that they are too slow adding new music and are rotating some songs too heavily for too long. They sure do play "Haven't Met You Yet" a lot considering it's over 2 years old. If they'd add some more new songs in more often, they wouldn't have that problem. I still can't figure out if they're programming from the AC or Hot AC chart. There are several 'safe' ones they could add. The main issue still, to me, is those out of place 70s soft AC songs that pop up occasionally. Taking those out will not make or break the station. I mean, "Brown Eyed Girl" alongside "Last Friday Night/TGIF" is terrible! The potential of those songs turning listeners off seems much greater than attracting/retaining listeners.
