Exactly. I've lived in the market for 18 months and she's been headline news in the tabs (and fodder for talk radio) on
two different occasions. Grand total of such stories for all of the other anchors in Philly, combined:
zero. Clearly, she is someone who has issues.
Have you ever gotten loaded and popped a cop in the face, particularly after using a nasty anti-gay epithet? Probably not. It's hardly a right of passage. That alone should have gotten her fired, as it would for any guy.
It's worthy of mention that the female cop had to be treated for her injuries - making it even more unlikely that this is some elaborate scheme to set up a half-latina news anchor and a wannabe he-man DJ from out of town. I'm sure that they took pictures of the cop's injuries that could come out in court. However, this will probably be settled before then....as a misdemeanor of some sort.
No matter, it's clear that Alycia Lane and Booger went looking for trouble. Why not just pass the cop car by? 9th Avenue is a pretty wide street. Or say "sorry" and move on? No, they incited a confrontation. Interesting that Booger wasn't charged. What does that tell you?
About little Miss Alycia, the more photos and stories I read about her, the skankier she seems. She comes off as someone who has been elevated in the business by looking great on TV (
after make-up is applied) and not by her journalistic prowess. If you're CBS 3 in Philly, is that how you want your newsroom to be characterized?
By the way, without makeup and copius amounts of hairstyling, she's hardly a vixen.
