Brian Dodge Is Selling WCKL,YEA!

So why does this keep going on? I would think that someone who is well versed if FCC regs. would file a formal complaint with the FCC. He (Mr. Dodge) apparently is transmitting with an unauthorized antenna arrangement. The fact that WCKL is a directional AM station certainly would indicate he is not maintaining the authorized pattern. Lets hope someone has and that the FCC has it as a works in progress and takes action sooner rather than later.

I contacted Town Square Media and they never got back to me. They either don't give a crap or are dealing with it and I don't know anything about it.
I've called the phone number on the website of WCKL and the number in the window of the office they have rented on Healy Blvd, at the base of the WZCR/WHUC tower by the way.
Not saying that rented office space has anything to do with the interference originating from that exact location.

And that office always seems to be closed lately, I drive by there almost once a day at different times of day each time.

But quite frankly.......I don't care any more about this do do anything else but vent on here.

And speaking of WCKL, WHUC, another CC station is now simulcasting a country station WRWD at 1230 AM after dumping standards/soft AC which was part of Dial Global's (formerly WW1's) ABM service. They're we're many stations that carried ABM service out there in any market. I remember back in 2005 when WMTR in Morristown, NJ dumped ABM to make way for "Classic Oldies", I missed it a lot. Let's hope to be the best.

He is interfering with TS?
TS doesn't give a hoot about WCKL.

i noticed coming back down through Catskill on Tuesday morning that W C K L was off the air AGAIN,, is this finally it for "Dodge " ??

He's back on now. Goes on and off every few weeks. The transmitter site is indeed off County Route 31 in Livingston. Terrible signal, can't drive under a power line without interfearance. There's been no sign of life at the studios on Healy Blvd since January, when the police were called there twice in one day

You mean the transmitter site for the illegal 103.7 translator, not 560 AM which is still supposed to be on state route 9G in Greenport, right?

I Heard that there is no more transmitter on Route 9G. It was removed

Not that it would come as a surprise, but according to the FCC database that is where it is supposed to be. The 3 towers that are there are for WCKL. The station has not applied for or received permission to move I wonder how much power it is putting out. The Temporary authority to be non- directional from the 9G site sharply reduced power.

There is indeed an STA filing for WCKL from last August, BSTA-20120810ABV, which expired Feb. 15. It's my understanding from sources very close to the situation that WCKL was booted from the Route 9G site for non-payment of rent. Just because it's still licensed there doesn't mean that it has the ability to operate that licensed facility.

I looked up the STA mentioned by Mr. Fybush. The question I would have is the authorization which has since expired authorized operation at 25% of power pending restoration of the problem described as a cut cable from mowing the site. My question would be"Does the STA allow for a different venue to be used for a tx site?

It does not.

Right, you'd have to apply for the use of a long wire from another location or the use of a different tower. You can make an emergency request and ask for expedited approval. The Commission is pretty good on this.

They should have just sold the thing to me when we were high bidder at the auction.

Hearing "white noise" transmitted on a carrier on 560 in the vacinity of
the transmitter/tower site on Route 9G.definitely a signal, splattering on adjacent frequencies. Nice job, Dodger !
