Broadcast audio associates 8 channel broadcast console

For those who are curious, there's a picture of what I'm guessing is the same model console in a recent entry on Paul Thurst's excellent EngineeringRadio.us blog - The first picture in this blog article - The Audioarts Air-4 Console.

If it was in decent enough shape I'd take it to replace the antique Gates Stereo Statesman I've got in the master control room of our high school station since I know it will be a snowy day in hell before I get a budget to even consider replacing it.

Bill, I bet somebody will want that Gates bad enough to swap something newer, like a used R60. Seems to be a bloom of collectors. Bob Mayben's page has lots of photos.

@special ed: One other person had shared a similar thought. I was fortunate enough to get a bunch of spare modules and have it running on a power conditioner / UPS. Whatever I end up with I have to make sure that it can be repaired for some amount of time and that the kids can't destroy it. Those Daven pots are much more forgiving than some of the other things I've seen as I've had adults bust the monitor volume controls on PR&E BMX boards before.

I ended up replacing a Stereo 80 in the student station's production room and was surprised how quickly that free for the taking board was claimed - from what I was told it was destined for a museum in the Nashville area.
