Broadway Bill Lee fired from KFRC?

I never heard, until today, that Broadway Bill was terminated at KFRC way back in the yonder.

What happened?

I can't find a thing in the San Francisco newspapers.

Thanks for the insight, Michael.
By the way, it really should be noted that Bill was forgiven quickly---he had a three-hour airshift two and a half years later during KFRC's 20th Anniversary (as a Top 40) celebration (Valentine's weekend, 1986) and he did morning drive at KMEL in the early 90s.

Also Bill Lee went on to be a big name in New York on WCBS-FM.

He's one of these people where he's forgotten in one place but recognized as a legend in another place in this case New York.

I don't think Bill's ever been forgotten in any of the markets (Hartford, San Francisco, Fargo, Denver, Minneapolis) he worked before New York.
