The problem I have with the Browns no longer on WTAM is the loss of the game broadcasts no longer on a powerful signal which effects fans in certain portions of Ohio and many other states. That's especially the case for late afternoon and night games. In this area, the day games may be heard on WONE - 980-AM in Dayton, Ohio which is on the Browns Network. However, at sundown, that station goes directional and reduces its power. In November & December, that's just about 5:30 P.M. which even effects games starting at 4:15 P.M. There have been many times when that has happened and I was able to switch the radio to 1100-AM. That won't be possible now.
I do understand this does give the Browns a station basically all its own and prevents not having Indians or Cavaliers games being given priority. I can recall some games not being on because of the Indians game or a Cavs pre-game show starting as the Browns were going into overtime. Having the games on two FM stations is nice, too, but only for those in northeastern Ohio who can receive them.
