BRW: longtime WTKK newser Ed Cherubino let go

A piece of the show I heard last week included airing a contest winner and it SOUNDED as if Tom was interacting (on the phone) with the winner. So do Tom and Julie pre-record audio snippets such as "You're the winner, what's your name?" and "Where are you from?" and "What's your favorite station?" when in fact it's some producer talking to them and then they put the audio together for air?

Wouldn't it be much easier to do it LIVE?
 
Back to Ed...He's very talented. I remember him on WPRO AM back in the 70s and 80s. Then, WSSH. Then, WSJZ. Then, WTKK. Met him once while on vacation down the Cape. Nice guy too! I hate to see this happen to good people like him.

Yeah, what happened to Rooney? Now it's Huggy and another guy (Christian?) Rooney had a good rapport w/ J and M.
Also, I find the new J and M show too frenetic....this guest, that guest, jumping all over the place with topics....and then no news the rest of the day. A mistake, I think, especially when they had someone as good as Ed doing it. I used to listen faithfully @7am to 3pm, but they're losing me....
