Buh Bye Bigby. Welcome back Ghil-Bear.

keeping them on a bad stick while slashing support staff, marketing, promotions, & sales isn't exactly getting out of the way, my friend. the ultimate tribute to the on-air talent at KTCK is that they consistently have to play with one arm tied behind their back. They are a Coca-cola product given R.C. resources.

Best talent on sports talk radio compensates for cuts in staff, marketing, etc., if that's what's happened at the Ticket. WEEI/Boston is the only other sports talk station I can think of that's on a par with the Ticket's talent (and ratings).

Saw this posted on The Observer... thoughts?

Bruce left the little Ticket to become a big wig at ESPN, and now is coming back to a spare place like the Fan? Something seriously wrong happened to his career, we just don't know about it.

Thoughts? Yeah, if Richey wrote that, sounds like he may already be feeling a bit threatened. Bruce WILL kick ass and take names.

Then again, IF Richey wrote that, he just sealed his own fate anyway!

*Since you guys salivate over local radio news, here's a zesty taste: Starting August 16 the new program director at 105.3 The Fan will be Bruce Gilbert. Yep, the same Bruce Gilbert who helped build 1310 AM The Ticket into Dallas' sports-talk dynasty. /schnipp/ ...Now he's trying to beat the team he helped create. Sounds fun. Stay tuned.

I'm really sick of your Hogan's Heroes schtick. Besides, Radio-Info is an an English-only site, so that excludes faux-Teutonic rhetoric.

Hell, if he can talk like he types, put him on the Fan. Schultz on Sports would beat anything they've got on air these days.
