Bye bye Indie. It was nice knowing you.

That is correct and they went on their own....The KDAY agreement was something that happened informally over the last 9 months of Indie....there was not a 3 year JSA with KDAY.

I see, there was no JSA with KDAY, but there was one.

Dude...they went on some pitches together, and that is it....there was no 2 year JSA followed by a three year JSA as you stated, is what I was getting at; so please don't get lost in the technical minutia. There was a 2 year legal/official JSA with Clear Channel, followed by Indie being on its own for two plus years, followed by 6 months of doing a few pitches together with KDAY. You seem to want to insist that Indie was never able to survive without a JSA with someone and the facts just do not bear that out.

The ongoing 'legs' of this discussion suggest that Indie did have some attributes. How about...great music, entertaining jocks, some efficiently executed promotions, cool imaging, a great web presence and above all distinctiveness? As has been demonstrated time and time again in many markets, high cumes, well structured sales efforts, carefully aligned cluster strategies, big signals, etc, etc are not necessarily indicative of 'Good Radio' which leaves a lasting impression on listeners.
