what's even funnier is that the station you're criticizing there chief is ranked #1 12+
JustHappened said:I agree. Johnnie its amazing how obviously out of touch you are with today's youth. and the fact that you thought Jammin' was the best station ever says alot. You must be old. You are NOT in the KS demographic anyway so you're not supposed to like it. And if by chance you are 18-24....you're very out of touch...
1) They have become more Urban and Thugish sounding than before...
1) They're supposed to be Urban and Thuggish (so good for them).
2) They play the same ol songs all day long...even during the Back in the Day Cafe
2) Have you ever heard a CHR/Top 40 station? Its always the same 20 to 30 songs.
3) Every Club they advertise or Broadcast live from...sucks...and they have attracted the Ghetto-Undesirable Crowd, i would be scared i would get Robbed or something
3) The clubs they work with are actually the most popular 'place to be' clubs in Denver. Vinyl, Bash, Game, etc. are all very eclectic and very popular. Especially Vinyl.
4) And what's even more Sad is that Denver's Best station Jammin 92.5 was dummped instead of KS 107.5
4) That just says that you're old and not someone KS cares about anyway.
5) Party 95.7 doesn't even come close to the being a Jammin 92.5. of anything..they play half the same songs 107.5 plays...then they mix in a few 90's R&B & Rap songs......
5) They play nowhere near the amount of currents or recurrents as KS does. and they're not trying to.
Hope that helps you with your obvious confusion. I think if anything KS could do better would be to add more new music faster. But other than that, its quite obvious why KS is #1. Unlike most stations here, they leave out all of the clutter. They are one of the few Denver stations that is competing with Ipod as well as other radio stations. If more programmers would do that and realize they should be more like an Ipod or Satellite radio, the industry would be in much better shape and more likely to hold onto younger listeners. However, with the way things are going, it's tough to even find youthful people that see radio as a possible career in 15 years. Think about it, if the youth stop listening now, then who will run the industry in a decade?
