Those Time-Life ads are more entertaining than the garbage they play on MTV! :D

I can recognize snarky commentary when I see it LOL, however, generational differences aside, todays youth are probably less inclined than we were to watch MTV when they have so many "on demand" options digitally. Just sayin... :)

That's certainly why they wouldn't watch videos for hours on end like 30 years ago. But they do watch programs...just look at Jersey Shore for proof positive. Like every channel since the medium began, they have hits and misses, but there's plenty of TV watching in the aggregate.

Totally agree! Compelling programming, whether it's drama, comedy, steamy, musical...whatever...will win everytime.

Let's see....um, because a few cranks from Shady Oaks harping on what used to be isn't a reason to rebrand? :D

I used to watch TLC in the 90s. Not anymore.

Remember when TLC used to have a block of children's programming? You know, back when they concentrating on the original meaning of the station's acronym - The Learning Channel? :-[

The Weather Channel is so so with me.  I like them but dislike them.

95% of the Christian Channels Direct TV offers.  This includes GMC.  Most of those channels offer programs that do not appeal to me.

The Cartoon Network.  Like them back the in day.

Boomerang is getting be just like them now but still watch them though.

Glad Direct TV dropped G4.  Their programming was lame anyway.  Liked the channel when they were ZDNET or ZDTV (I Think) and had Leo Laporte on there.  He taught me so much about using the Computer, back in the late 90s, when I was still learning how to use one.

The Music Video Channels are very boring to me.  They did play music at one time but not any longer.  Most of their programming is the same old stuff, I can get everywhere else.

RFD-TV is so so.  Like them but dislike them too.

Science Channel is cool and fun to watch.  Get to see many great educational programs, when I tune in to them.

Food Network is cool to watch too.  Get to learn so much about the food I eat, when I watch them.

GSN has some great shows on there but wish they would drop the poker blocks altogether.  So boring, when that block is on. Wish they would broadcast the old B/W shows again and get the rights to do the old Price is Right shows.

The History Channels are cool too.  Learn so much about the past, when watching them.

TV Land is a joke now.  Detest them period.

Nick is the same as TV Land

And so is ION TV.

R.D.P. <><

It'd probably be easier to list the ones I do watch.

ESPN (all flavors)
NFL Network
Nick Jr. (for the grandkids)
Speed
VS. (for supercross)
Fox Sports Southwest

...and...um...well...gee, that's about it.

I watch some of the OTA channels on occasion (especially during baseball season when KTXA/Channel 21 carries the Rangers), but I get my news from the Internet/iPhone so's I can search around and see what the truth really is (and, sad to say, most if not all web news sites are more interested in pushing ideology or propaganda). Weather comes from the computer and iPhone, too, and my up-to-the-minute sports scores...yeah, there's an app for that.

Sad to say I grew up with the big 3 alphabet networks (in a day when you had to get up to change the channel on those old clunky, rotary-dial black-and-white TV sets) and worked in news for almost ten years, and couldn't envision a day when I might stop watching TV. That day may be close at hand.
