As reported on the front page, WJJZ ends tonight at 6 (IS SOMEBODY ROLLING TAPE), with stunting until Monday morning at 9. Throw out your ideas here.

HAS ANYBODY UPDATED THE WIKIPEDIA YET ;)

Not yet, give it time!

Well...

I don't see Hot AC. It would compete a little too much with BEN. Unless they positioned 97.5 younger to compliment 95.7?

Alternative? Before 104.5 signed on... that was everyone's guess. Now? Wedged in-between WMMR and WMGK, it could make a Rock-Wall for GM in Philly and try to completely box out WYSP?

Sports or FM Talk? Possibly.

Country? Ya never know :)

As I'm typing this, they're firing off "End of the Road" by Boyz II Men. Let's see where the stunting goes.

What they should do is move the sports programming from 950 AM to 97.5 FM. Once that's done, add a couple more local shows and then they will finally give WIP a run for their money.

Needless to say, we'll be talking about this on tonight's Radio Racket.

Should be: Active Rock (REAL Active Rock like 93.5 The Beach in Delmarva, not like Greater Media's weaksauce cluster in NJ and Philly) or Classic Hip Hop / R&B

Will be: Country

Normally, I would go deep into thought about what there may be a hole in the market for, but then again, we are in a world of cookie cutting radio.
So, the best guess may be the launch of something they already own in another market.

Yet another format change that ONLY interests radio people. Listeners don't give a rat's butt, this inconsistancy just further erodes consumer confidence in our medium. The new format had better be a killer, or this will continue to play out like a bad movie.....

Female liners plugging "Something new, something now" coming Monday 9 am. I'm guessing a Mix-type station aimed at B.

A friend of mine at GM in Detroit says that Elliot In The Morning will be the morning show. He is already on in DC, Baltimore, and Richmond. It would be one more stop along the I-95 corridor. Even though he is on all CC stations, GM/Detroit says that he is clear to go on any station in Philly, CC or not.

1) Hot Klezmer

2) Techno-yiddish

3) The All Curling Play by Play Channel

4) Non-stop horse races

5) "97.5 - The Gas" (all fart noises)

6) 97/5 FM - Roach Radio

7) All song parodies and novelty songs "BWAAAAA-FM"

8) "97.5 The Patriot" - All military anthems, Sousa marches, interspersed with speeches by the likes of MacArthur and Eisenhower. Pledge of Allegiance read at the top of each other by various celebrities and political officials.

9) All female talk shows and a week of the blues "WPMS" (that old gag)

10) Simulcast with WVLT

Which if true, would lean toward some form of rock, possibly active? Yet with MMR and MGK its incredibly unlikely. A deeper broader alternative to take on 104.5?

Nobody's actually mentioned what they're playing on 97.5 now, besides the tease announcements.

The music sounds like a cross between the "Club Ben" HD-2 and regular BEN.

Wonder if there's any relation to the music we're hearing now on the station and what will debut Monday?

Something tells me, perhaps, something totally opposite of/nothing related to what's on now....

I am going to say "Radio Disney"

Or, something along the lines of Sirius 30. Acoustic stuff.

Oh yeah. With The Dixon Show Mornings ;D

Just my 2 cents.
