Can we please pull the plug on MOVin' now?

It really is all about the money and not 12+ ratings. Sales is the major focus, overall.

Besides that, rates depend on ratings to a certain degree. However, even when low, if you can still play in the adults, or better yet, females, 25-54, than the super sales people come in and many times create revenue in any way they can. Hence, the talk stations that are always in the top 5 in revenue with their block programming and loads of inventory.

As for Movin, any loss or gain in CUME will only be offset by decreased time spent listening. It will be better to cut costs and flip formats, pretty quickly, considering the horrible programming. However, even though Movin is a failure, there is nothing else to replace it with, that would, initially, look more profitable. That 25-54 is a cherished audience in the revenue stream. I also imagine that Movin costs less money to run than KLIF.

A direct competitor to KZPS for that demo would work. The Bone ain't it.
