To quote: "7-foot dipole antenna included. Click "here" to find ways to improve receptions"

This technology is a complete fraud and a total joke ! :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Yea, people are going to go for this technology - a 7 foot dipole antenna in the house, or maybe on the roof !

Gosh, I wonder, if it is portable - what a joke ! :D :D :D :D

It's not portable...it's not marketed as a portable radio. Guess the joke's on you!

People are and will continue to go for the technology. Especially as the radios improve.

I guess nobody uses a radio with a telescoping antenna, eh?

Boy, you are getting desparate. You'll now say anything - true or not. It's comical, really.

That's my point - with HD Radio's power consumptions and having to lug around a 7 foot dipole antenna, HD Radio will never be portable - but, this is a portable society - look at the popularity of iPods !

Again, prove it.

Let's see...which one of these had a portable model when it debuted?

TV? No.
CD? No.
Satellite? No.
Cassette? No.
Computers? No.
Internet access? No.
Cell phones? No.

But after some time they all became portable, as will HD Radio.

You really need to do your homework before you try to make a counterpoint. You sound silly.

HD/IBOC wil be dead, before it ever goes portable ! And, what are you going to do, lug around a 7-foot dipole antenna - what a joke and a fraud, HD/IBOC ! :D

Wow. Did you not understand a word I just wrote? Try reading it slower, you might understand it then. Nobody will be lugging around a dipole antenna.

What a joke is right.

How true, because no one will buy this fraudulent piece of garbage !

These idiots can dump as much money into the ad campaign as they want, but consumers are not going to spend $200 on an ugly, non-portable, table-top HD receiver, when they can get a beautiful Satellite Radio boom-box for $70, plus up to 170 stations. You see right there, the HD Radio industry's mentality that dumping all this money into an ad campaign is going to somehow convice consumers to spend $200 for a table-top AM/FM radio ! HD Radio does not solve any listener problems, because listeners only have a problem with content ! Investors in HD Radio were expecting a payoff after five years - now it has been seven years, with a bleak outlook !

For most people those beautiful Sat Boom Boxes work inside.....near a south facing window.

Funny, I picked up the Satellite boom-box and moved it around - that didn't make any difference, and they had it facing West.

HD Ready = IBOCRocks

you must have a terestrial repeater near you, I don't and I had to put it in a window for it to work. it went back to Best Buy the next day, partly due to my garage being on the north side of my house. My receptor works great in my garage.

IBOC does rock but no, I'm not the same person.....I was here long time ago when PQGeorge and Jleheman were the anti IBOC.

is one of them you?
