Cape's Rose 96.3 to simulcast WEEI

PancakesRule - I agree with you on two things:

(1) - pancakes do rule

(2) - Ricky B is a good jock. He just needs some regular airchecking. if Matthews doesn't end up in afternoons, COD will still benefit from Ricky's dedication to the slot. Good kid who just needs to hang on a bit longer - his time will come.

appreciate your comments. Thanks guys or girls....whatever you may be! :)

I agree about Ricky B. Good jock & easy to listen to. In today's radio climate, that's a big thing.

Do we really need WEEI on 96.3 ? 850 WEEI signal come in just fine on the Cape. Where I live, I can pick up 103.7, 850 and sometime's 1440 and 96.3 . I like WEEI but not on all radio signals . R.I.P. The Rose . I Hope Fun 107 dont go away ( MA Only good living CHR/P ).

With Fun 107's continued total domination of the NB/Fall River book, i can't see how that would ever happen. The target demo numbers are higher than any numbers i have seen in the last 10 years on any station around here.

Maybe it's because I don't live in Boston, I don't see what the appeal of this station is and why they are trying to take over New England. I have listened to the station for a few minutes. Depending on the weather conditions in Parts of Bristol, CT I can get both the Springfield-area Affiliate 105.5 and the Providence-area Affiliate 103.7 FM. I prefer ESPN Radio.

Well, you're obviously not a Boston sports fan. I know that myself, I couldn't care less about college football and basketball, and it seems like most of WEEI's listeners/callers agree. These are probably the 2 biggest topics of discussion on the national sports networks, which I think is one reason why these networks have not done well around here.

In South NJ, 96.3 The Rose came in so strong at times in the summer I could drive around with it on and not lose the signal. It covers the beaches from NC to Maine in the summer!

Your South Jersey experience must have been before WRZE moved its transmitter to Dennis. When the transmitter was on Nantucket island, the station often reached Long Island and the Jersey shore. However, it had a hard time reaching Truro and Provincetown. Hence the move to Dennis.

So whos going to go CHR/Top 40 on the Cape? Maybe WKPE should of stayed with Top 40 instead of going Country. They could flip back and just grab the djs from 96.3 thats if they don't have a no compete in the contract they signed.
