So they still use paper logs? And CD players are nowhere to be found, yet reel-to-reels are plentiful? At least I got to sign off after my shift, that was always fun. Load the national anthem into the Teac cassette deck, play it, flip the switch on the transmitter.
I just got the impression at this particular college that they were more interested in driving people from radio than teaching people how the industry actually works. AFAIK, even today there isn't a single computer in the studio.
Oh well, with the current state of radio, maybe getting driven away was a good thing. :
