Just to be straight, I believe Carley left WAZY due to family issues, not anything to do with WAZY, the mgmt. or anything. Second, whoever mentioned that although she wasn't the No. 1 voice in town but had to start somewhere was right. She did have to get her start somewhere. Maybe not middays on WAZY (haha) but could you imagine getting a shot like that on your first time out? I mean heck, I had to board op for amost six months before getting my shot on-air back when I started 17 years ago!

Carley gets her gig right in the middle of the spotlight straight out of the gate! Voice-tracked or not, it's a heck of opportunity. But ya, maybe every jock should cut their teeth in a less obvious drive.
Why do we keep running over and over all these ideas for AMP? We know they're not going to anything smart regardless of our postings. :

It's always been and shall always be a really profoundly dumb run station. I think the only reason we find ourselves constatnly posting advice to Art on here is because we know if WE had an opporunity to run a station with the promise that his little clsuter of stations has, we'd do a much better job. At this point, a talking monkey good run those stations better.
I think Art, at this point, WILL go to an auto-pilot station. He just doesn't get it and nobody can talk him. Art WON'T listen to anybody else, regardless. That's nobody who KNOWS this business of this market wan'ts to be his employee. I heard rumor that Scotty's looking to bail even that leaves NO ONE. About the only employee Art will still have is maybe Fred Stewart. He's loyal to a fault. Wait...is he even still there? I really dunno. But, when your staff starts bailing on you like they have on him here, don't you sit and reflect how you're treating your employees or at least think....what is going on? I don't think Art is. I think he probably thinks we're all crazy, especially the folks who 'ran' out on him (as I'm sure he sees it) and nobody knows radio but him. Somehow he still thinks he's a genius and we're all stupid. That's why I think he'll pull a Kelly Bush and just pipe the shows in from now on. He doesn't have to 'deal' with a machine.
