CBC analog transmitters

I wonder if there are any requirements that the transmitters continue to broadcast CBC?
In the U.S., some communities take over the local translators, then immediately sell them to religious channels.

Considering how strict the CRTC is as to programming requirements, I don't see that happening. If a community group buys the transmitter, they may be given a choice of either carrying programming from CBC, Radio-Canada, APTN, or a provincial educational channel (such as TVO, which had shed its analogue transmitters in recent months), or providing a local community channel of their own.
