CBC shuts down daily time signal

There are a few Spot Radio Rates and Data from SRDS at SRDS - Spot Radio Rates & Data media buyer guide

I have tried to get more issues, but can't find them anywhere!
SRDS also had (or has) editions for media buyers in print media and television. In the market that I was in, it was business to business media (trade publications), The company I worked for was the largest in the industry with 134 titles in the U.S. Which is why bought the space taking up the spine of every issue. We were in LOTS of markets....including more than a half dozen titles for engineers at Electronics Industry OEMs. All of our 11 editors were engineers with EE degrees and industry experience, One of them, Dan Strassberg, was active on these boards. Unfortunately, Dan left us about 10-12 years ago.

I've seen various SRDS directories in larger Public Libraries. You might want to check out libraries near you to see if one has what you're looking for.

Unfortunately, libraries have terribly restrictive criteria on circulating that type of publication. You can see them in the library, but can not borrow them and never get them lent to a local library for scanning.

I'm hoping the NAB and Library of Broadcasting recognition may convince some libraries to lend material.

Yeah, SRDS would be "reference material", and as such stay put.. I never tried to check one out. Probably to heavy to carry anyway. At least back in the day. :)

I'm amazed this was still a thing on CBC, as least the formality of it. Then again, CBS and ABC still have the top-of-hour (albeit satellite-delayed) beep on their radio networks. In Chicago, WGN still has a tone. And some of us remember when the network time tone also ran on CBS and NBC TV.

And WTIC 1080, still has, i think the dit dit duh dit at top of hour, the V for victory?

Are either still around?
BPM still is as active as then; many, many recent Chinese SWLs got their very first QSL cards from there indeed.
JJY left shortwave as of Q1 2001 and Japan's NICT now utilize two coded longwave stations inheriting the famed callsign legally.
